The Gibson SG Special Faded Worn Brown is a U.S.‑made electric guitar from Gibson’s SG Special Faded line, presented here in the Worn Brown satin nitrocellulose finish that gives it a gently aged, road‑worn aesthetic straight out of the case. It’s part of a series designed to offer the classic SG profile and feel with a slightly more relaxed satin texture and vintage vibe compared with gloss finishes.
This guitar is built with a solid mahogany body and a set‑in mahogany neck mated to a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and simple dot inlays. The scale length is 24.75 inches, and the neck profile is a comfortable SG style that balances smooth playability with a responsive feel up and down the fretboard.
Factory electronics feature a pair of Gibson 490R (neck) and 490T (bridge) humbucking pickups, controlled by two volume and two tone knobs plus a three‑way pickup selector so you can access warm neck tones, biting bridge voices, or both at once. Hardware includes a Tune‑O‑Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece for solid intonation and sustain, traditional tuners, and chrome appointments that complement the faded satin look.
